The Systemic lupus erythematosus test is based on Whole Genome Sequencing Test. As such, it analyzes all Common and Rare Variants associated with Systemic lupus erythematosus instead of a limited set of genes. Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic disease that causes inflammation in connective tissues, such as cartilage and the lining of blood vessels, which provide strength and flexibility to structures throughout the body. The signs and symptoms of SLE vary among affected individuals, and can involve many organs and systems, including the skin, joints, kidneys, lungs, central nervous system, and blood-forming (hematopoietic) system. SLE is one of a large group of conditions called autoimmune disorders that occur when the immune system attacks the body's own tissues and organs. In this disease, the immune system of the body mistakenly attacks healthy tissue. The cause of SLE is not clearly known. It may be linked to the following factors: genetic, environmental, hormonal, certain medicines. SLE is more common in women than men by nearly 10 to 1. It may occur at anyage. However, it appears most often in young women between the ages of 15 and 44.  Along with environmental factors, Genetics plays a key role in the regulation of Systemic lupus erythematosus. - 14 genes analyzed - 100% of genomic regions covered - Intragenic and intergenic regions analyzed - All variants reported.

  • 1.

Using a simple at home blood sample, we can collect the 100% of your DNA and analyze the genetic sequence in our lab.

  • 2.

The sequence is divided into several parts, amplified, grouped in clusters and then sequenced.

  • 3.

This sequencing process reveals the order of nucleotides that make up the original DNA sample.

  • 4.

We then compare the genome with a generic and globally recognized reference DNA sequence.
